Royal Marathon & A Run for Kings 2025 - All the Practical Info.

Are you registered for the 1st edition of the Royal Marathon or the 13th edition A Race Like a King?
Here you will find all the practical information about bib pickup, schedule, start times, services and logistics. Read well: so you avoid surprises and arrive prepared!

📍 Race Village and bib pickup

  • Saturday, October 11: 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Republic Square, Venaria Reale
  • Sunday, October 12: 7:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (by 8:30 a.m. for Marathon and Half)

Bring your registration confirmation (printed or on smartphone) or payment receipt with you. Sunday morning drop-off will be reserved for registrants from OUT OF THE PROVINCE only. On Sunday, the Village closes strictly at 9 a.m. (8:30 a.m. for the Marathon and Half Marathon).

You will receive:

  • Bib with chip
  • Diadora technical product

⚠️ 21 km competitive and non-competitive: valid competitive medical certificate required. No bibs will be handed out without required documentation.

🏃 Sports Program

Saturday, October 11

  • 10 a.m.: Race Village opening
  • 2 p.m.: Principle Run & Family meeting
  • 3:30 p.m.: start Principle Run & Family
  • 7:30 p.m.: Race Village closing

Sunday, October 12

  • 7:15 a.m.: Race Village opening
  • 8 a.m.: opening gates Reggia Gardens (XX September Street)
  • 9 a.m.: start Marathon & Half Marathon
  • 9:30 am: 10 km start
  • 10:45 a.m.: 10 km award ceremony
  • 11 a.m.: awards ceremony Half
  • 12:30 p.m.: Marathon award ceremony
  • 12:45 p.m.: awarding numerous companies
  • 2:30 p.m.: end of the event

⏱ Departure Times and Grids

You will be able to enter the Grand Parterre equipped with your bib clearly visible and exclusively from the gate at the corner of Via XX Settembre and Via Quirino Mascia.

  • 9 a.m. | Marathon (red bib)
  • 9 a.m. | Half Marathon (black bib)
  • 9:30 | 10 km (green bib)

Starting grids (numerical order, declared by time):

  • Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Blue, Pink (last for non-competitive).

⚠️ The start is 1200 mt from the Race Village → consider the time to move!

⏳ Maximum Times

  • 10 km → 2h
  • 21 km → 3h
  • 42 km → 5h

Beyond these times services are not guaranteed.

🎒 Storage of Bags

  • One backpack with numbered name tag
  • Area not covered in case of rain
  • The organization is not accountable for the content

🚰 Supplies

  • Half: km 5, 10, 15, 19
  • Marathon: km 5, 10, 15, 21, 25, 31, 38

Water and mineral salts available. Use bins for glasses.

🏆 Awards

  • 10 km: first 3 M/F
  • Half: first 8 M/F
  • Marathon: first 8 M/F
  • Companies: top 5 numerous companies (on the Half)

Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers (10/21/42km) in the following merged categories:

JPSM/SM35 | SM40/SM45 | SM50/SM55 | SM60/SM65 | SM70 and above JPSF/SF35 | SF40/SF45 | SF50/SF55 | SF60/SF65 | SF70 and above

A bib must be shown to collect the prize.

  • Pick up your bib on Saturday. Sunday is reserved only for registrants from outside the province.
  • Sunday closing 9 a.m. (8:30 a.m. for those competing in the Marathon and Half Marathon: do not be late).
  • Consider the 1200 mt between Race Village and the start.
  • Bring medical certificate if you do the 21 km.
  • Organized for parking and traffic.
